A Statewide Moving Tribute Across Colorado
Twenty-five years after September 11, 2001, a moving tribute will travel throughout Colorado honoring the 405 first responders of the FDNY, NYPD, PAPD & FDNY EMS who gave their lives that day — along with K-9 Sirius.
The tribute begins on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026, and travels across the state before its finale in Denver on the 25th anniversary.

These numbers represent the FDNY, NYPD, PAPD, and FDNY EMS members lost on September 11, 2001. We also remember the first responders, recovery workers, civilians, and working dogs whose lives were later lost or forever changed by 9/11-related illness and exposure.
405 Flags — and One More
The tribute features a moving display of 405 flags — one for each first responder lost on September 11, 2001 — plus one tribute flag honoring those lost in the years since to 9/11-related illness and exposure.

405 Flags of Remembrance
As we approach the 25th anniversary of September 11, we have 405 American flags available for donation — one for each first responder lost on 9/11. Please donate $5 for a flag.
Where your donation goes: proceeds from flag donations support Aspen Acres fire relief — the firefighters and victims who have lost everything as a result of the Aspen Acres fires. Thank you for your support.
